April, in three minutes

April was, in many ways, the most consequential month our school has had in years. Class X delivered a Board season worth keeping for the record; Annual Day became the moment we unveiled a new motto and a renewed vision; and the Pre-School wing filled with a new session of tiny tots.

Between those bookends sat an unusually busy stretch of inter-school competitions — two firsts in dance, two firsts at Eco Seminar, a winning AI project on smart cities, and a Class VII painter taking First Position at a Directorate of Education event.

We have also kept space for the quieter milestones: a fire drill, a road-safety briefing, a thoughtful career-guidance session for Class XI.

With our thanks, as always, to the families who held it all together.

A new identity, a renewed vision.

Mother Mary's School celebrated its 20th Annual Day — Metamorphosis — on a warm April evening, marking twenty years of quiet, steady work in Mayur Vihar. The occasion was made even more significant with the unveiling of the school's new motto and a renewed vision.

More than an event, Metamorphosis was a deliberate marking of transition — honouring a rich legacy while embracing a progressive and inspiring future for the girls who will spend their school years here.

The evening opened with a procession that wove its way through the auditorium, ribboned in marigold and madder, and closed late with the new motto projected behind the stage in three quiet words. In between sat a programme of dance, song, and one or two genuinely moving moments of student speech.

For a school that has spent two decades doing things without much ceremony, this was a rare night of ceremony — the kind that earns its place.
