Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 May 2026. Aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India).

Who we are

Mother Mary’s School, Site No. 1, Sahkarita Marg, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Delhi 110091. Operated by Dr Walia Charitable Trust. Email info@mothermarys.school, phone 011-22715538.

What we collect

Two sources:

  • Forms you fill in — admissions enquiry, campus-visit request, contact form, newsletter signup, alumni registration. Name, email, phone, role (parent, alumna, etc.), and the message you write.
  • Website analytics — only after you accept cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 (anonymised IP, no personally-identifying data) and Microsoft Clarity (session recordings with form-field masking enabled).

We do not collect bank details, government IDs, health information, or biometric data through the website. School admission requires those documents but they are submitted separately via secure channels.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry or process your application
  • To send the school newsletter if you subscribed
  • To understand which pages and features parents actually use, so we can improve them

Cookies & tracking

We do not set any tracking cookies until you click Accept on the consent banner. The banner appears on first visit; your choice is remembered for future visits. If you change your mind, use the link in the footer (also reachable here).

Who we share it with

Form submissions go to the school office and the relevant department (admissions, accounts, alumni) via Google Workspace. Analytics data is processed by Google and Microsoft. Website hosting is by Hostinger. We do not sell your data and never have.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, after which we either delete it or anonymise it. Specifically:

  • Admission applications stay active for 30 days from creation (or 15 days from the last update, whichever is later). Unsuccessful and abandoned applications are deleted at the end of that window. Successful applications roll into the student record.
  • Student records are retained for the duration of enrolment and for ten years after the student leaves, in line with CBSE record-keeping requirements.
  • Contact form submissions are kept in the office inbox for two years for reference, then archived.
  • Newsletter subscriptions stay until you unsubscribe. Each issue includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Analytics events (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) are retained for fourteen months by the processor, after which Google and Microsoft anonymise or delete the underlying records.
  • Cookies follow the lifetimes listed in the “Cookies we use” table above.

If you want a copy or deletion of data we hold about you specifically, write to the Grievance Officer below.

Your rights

Under the DPDPA 2023 you can:

  • Ask what we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Withdraw consent (use the cookie settings link, or write to us)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India

Write to info@mothermarys.school with the subject line “Data request”. We reply within two working days.

Grievance Officer

Under section 10 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, our designated Grievance Officer is:

Mrs. Manisha Joshi, Principal
Mother Mary’s School
Site No. 1, Sahkarita Marg, Mayur Vihar Phase-1
New Delhi 110091
Email: principal@mothermarys.school (subject: “Grievance Officer, DPDPA”)
Phone: 011-22715538

We acknowledge grievances within seven working days and respond substantively within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children’s data

Mother Mary’s is a girls’ school; many of our users are children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children through the website. Admission information about a prospective student is submitted by a parent or guardian. Microsoft Clarity session recordings have form-field masking enabled so typed text is never captured.

Updates to this policy

If we change anything material, we’ll re-prompt for consent and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
